Internet Testing Systems (ITS) is seeking a Program Manager to join our team. This position will be located in Hampden, MD and free parking is available.

Responsibilities

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all schedule and technical aspects of the program, and must be well versed in project management best practices. The qualified applicant will become part of an accomplished Program Management team involved in delivering a state of the art computer-based testing system. This position requires an emphasis on the internal execution of new business, as well as implementing follow-on business.

The PM:

• Manages medium to large projects using best-practice project management approaches to deliver against approved estimates for quality on-time and on-budget projects
• Creates a clear, logical and realistic plan of activities, for medium to large size projects
• Develops and analyzes project interdependencies to effectively structure schedules and resources and understand potential impacts
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Translates business requirements into practical IT solutions, which can be implemented

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a strong technical background, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant program and technical management experience
• Ability to create and maintain project schedules to include creating a Microsoft Project plan and identifying risks associated with meeting delivery milestones
• Experience gathering and writing functional requirements
• Selected candidate must be team-oriented, mission focused, and have proven ability to succeed in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with testing and assessment systems
• Experience/exposure to XML, HTML
• Project Management Professional (PMP^®) certification
