Intro

In an ever changing world, we are visionaries and achievers. At ITS, our employees represent a broad spectrum of experience with a common thread; our employees love to make their dreams a reality!

We want to add to our diverse wealth of talent. If you have vision, motivation, and talent, take a look at our current openings.

Our Working Environment

We are located in a historic building called the Mill Centre in Hamden. Our beautiful office space has lots of natural light, high ceilings, wood floors, and brick walls. The Mill Centre is the redevelopment of a 100-year old building in the Jones Falls Valley. Nearby is 36th street, the main street of Hamden, filled with funky shops and restaurants.

Systems Environment

ITS is a Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV). Our Windows applications are typically written in Visual Studio .NET. We use C++ for performance and system level programming. For web front ends, we use ASP.NET, dynamic HTML, and support IE, Safari, and Netscape 6. We use XML and XSL extensively, both in web and windows applications. Our backend is based on Windows 2003, including Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and IIS. In 2005, we will begin a transition to the Yukon platform. We follow a structured development process, including functional requirements, detailed design, and code and usability reviews.

Our Employee Expectations

The successful employee is smart, loves their job, is friendly, likes people, and does what it takes to get the job done. Our customers are important to us, and we do what it takes to make them happy. Because of our unique and leading edge software environment, our employees typically experience a dramatic increase in their skills and knowledge as they work at ITS. We believe that work should be fun, and that everyone should believe in what we are doing. Hours are flexible. We expect a solid, focused 8 hours of work a day plus any time you spend for lunch. Unlike most internet companies, we believe that a successful company needs to nurture their employees, not burn them out. We typically do not have to work long hours or weekends.
